Sunscreen is a non-negotiable part of your daily skincare routine, but with so many options available, how do you choose the right SPF for your skin type? Here’s a helpful guide to get you started.

Understanding SPF:

SPF, or Sun Protection Factor, measures how well a sunscreen can protect the skin from UVB rays—the kind of radiation that causes sunburn

and contributes to skin cancer. Here’s what those SPF numbers mean:

• SPF 15 blocks about 93% of UVB rays

• SPF 30 blocks about 97% of UVB rays

• SPF 50 blocks about 98% of UVB rays

Higher SPF numbers do offer more protection, but no sunscreen can block 100% of UVB rays.

Choosing Sunscreen for Different Skin Types:

1. Normal Skin

• What to Use: SPF 30-50

• Why: Offers balanced protection without clogging pores.

• Application Tip: Apply liberally and evenly 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every two hours.

2. Oily Skin
